Game and Mixers!

Games are an incredibly valuable ministry tool. Not only is it a perfect time for Christian fellowship, it is also an opportunity for experiential learning to take place. Either way, games are just a lot of fun, and that alone secures its importance in any kind of youth ministry.

There are few things to consider when selecting a game to play. One is the level of energy you wish to exert. If you really want to wear the participants out, you will want to pick a lot of high energy level games. But you also need to know games for sit down time fillers, indoor rainy weather games, etc… Two, you will want to consider the age of your group, and any limitations your group might have. Three, where will this game be played? Location and environment is critical to determine what kind of games you may want to play. Four, and most importantly, you will want to consider the safety issues of a game. Accidents do happen, but many accidents can be avoided through intelligent planning.
