Consensus
What does consensus mean?
Consensus is the process of decision making that requires the entire group to
collectively come to a decision that everyone can agree on.
Why do we use it?
Consensus allows the entire group to have an impact on the decision made. This
limits possible hostility, and makes sure everybody's view points are heard.
In addition, consensus is an excellent way to encourage group building and involving
all members of the group.
What are the Pros and Cons of consensus?
How does compromise play a part in consensus?
Obviously, the group is rarely going to decide on exactly the same thing right
away. But through compromise, the group can eventually come up with a decision
that will satisfy everyone.
Even in a democratic society, how can consensus enhance your ability to lead?
