In my time as a YARP, the realization and insight of younger kids has amazed me. God works in amazing ways and gives many different talents to different people. At the Christian Ed Retreat this year, I was reminded by this fact as I sat down after dinner and sang songs with a group of 8 year olds as their 10 year old cousin played the guitar. Yet again, earlier this year I saw how important God was in the lives of children and was wowed by their powerful acknowledgment of His work. God places each and every one of us on this earth with our talents so that we may reach out and enrich the lives of those around us. It takes my breath away as I interact with children at events and find myself and my faith becoming enriched thanks to them. Being a Yarp is not just about helping and leading others to God, it's also about learning from those you help and realizing just how lucky you are to have met them. I hope as I continue on my journey in faith that I never forget to marvel and appreciate every single person God places in my life.
