YARPs are :
- Young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 who have chosen to commit their gifts, skills, time, and energy to serving God and ministering to youth everywhere.
- Committed servants of Christ who can plan and conduct youth programs at the congregational, cluster, conference, and Synod levels.
- Trained by the Synod in Youth Ministry
YARPs are great for :
- planning retreats and lock-ins
- assisting in starting or revitalizing a youth group
- leading worship or Bible studies
- leading songs, games, and mixers at an event
- facilitating program planning for a youth group
- providing strong Christian role models in discussions of topics critical to youth
- providing leadership training for youth
- facilitating evaluation of existing programs.
